Welcome to Sakaar Outreach
Sakaar Outreach is a voluntary social organisation, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Founded by like minded people in 2001, the Society, through its various outreach programmes has been providing vocational training to empower the vast population of India that is economically backward, marginalised and without sources of education or health care facilities. We also endeavour to provide training to people so that they can become employable and gain long term economic independence.

The focus area of our operations largely revolves around women and children. The women's welfare programmes are in the field of vocational training, continuing education and counselling. Health care, sanitation and AIDS awareness forms a primary area of our work along with providing education to children.

Sakaar Outreach is functional in New Delhi and Vadodara in Gujarat. In New Delhi we currently run two Gender Resource Centers, one HIV/AIDS Targeted Intervention Programme and nine Bal Vikas Kendras. At periodic intervals we conduct women's welfare programmes in the slums in the targeted areas. In Vadodara we run an educational center where children receive free education along with books, stationery, uniform and meals. Click here for more details on our various projects.

We also have a unique programme through which you can get involved. You can contribute by buying merchandise made by the women and children of the Sakaar Outreach family. You can also donate for specific causes that we are involved in, Click here for more details.

This website will give you an insight into the philosophy of Sakaar Outreach, its ethos, its vision and plans for the future. Also it will, we hope, provide you with a reason to reach out and touch people through us to help make India as good a place for all Indians as it is for the more fortunate amongst us.
